Mountain Biking
Trail Maintenance August 5th, Poker Run August 12th
The summer is peaking and so is the brush on the trails. This month's work party will focus on brush clearing on Trail #50 and a permanent repair of a culvert on Mima #8 near Trail #50. If you have any brush clearing tools please bring them (weed whackers, machetes, etc.).
As most of you already know this summer the first ever Capitol Forest MTB Poker Run will be held in Capitol Forest, Sat Aug 12 http://www.capitolf orest.com/ pokerrun. html
So all of the work we will be doing will help insure a fun and safe experience for all ride participants. Up coming work parties....finish lower Green Line #6. Thanks again for all of your dedication and self sacrifice in order to keep our forest safe and fun.

Sunday Capital Forest Ride: Meet every Sunday 9 AM at the intersection of Waddell Creek and Sherman Valley out in Capital Forest. Pace is fairly mellow. Usually a good turnout, and probably a better choice for novice riders. A lot of CBC folks show up for this one as well. Ride Leaders vary, so either join the Yahoo group (see above) or contact the MTB dude. This is not an official ride, so the CBC has no liability.
All skill levels welcome, though novices riders should contact the leader for rides they want to attend. Ride leaders are volunteers and while they try to be accomodating, they are not responsible for your safety and comfort on a ride -- YOU ARE!!
